>> reporter: he's one of the more than 200 campers accepted this year to rising above disabilities, or r.a.d. camp, an overnight summer camp for children and adults with special needs in southern california. for many it's their first ever camp experience. when campers arrive for their week-long stay, each one is paired with a buddy from the hundreds of staffers on hand. katie webb brundige and meghan clem are the camp's co-founders. >> it's an amazing opportunity for our campers to have independence, growth, friendship and just fun. >> i like camp. yeah, it's special. >> i'm so happy i'm here....
