Wednesday, May 5, 2021 Willis: People are what makes this community this school is so great As the 2020-2021 school year comes to an end and the 2021-2022 year is just around the corner, some changes in the Wheaton school district will be made. Tyler Willis, current Wheaton High School principal, is leaving to take the same position at Cassville High School, and Jody Cavness will be stepping up to the role at Wheaton. My contract started on Aug. 1, 2017, and my contract will end on June 30, Willis said. I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was in fifth grade. One of my fifth-grade teachers was really impactful on my life, and at the time I wanted to be like him. As I grew older I realized it was the ability to make an impact on a student that I was really drawn to. ....
