Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Governor Dunleavy is opting against extending the state's COVID-19 disaster declaration despite calls from lawmakers to do so for another 30 days. Instead, the Governor conducted a news conference Sunday afternoon to outline a transition plan that Dunleavy says begins the process of moving Alaska to the path of normalcy while still effectively managing the virus.
