IMD official Sushma Nair, said, “Mumbai will witness light showers with thunderstorm for the next 2 days due to new weather systems generating over the city which is causing the rainfall."

According to the IMD forecast for the next 48 hours, Mumbai will witness general cloudy skies with light to moderate rain/thundershower in the city and suburbs.
Pune, Raigad, Palghar, Nasik, Kolhapur, Satara among others have been given a green alert whereas eastern districts of the state like Amravati, Chandrapur, Nagpur, have been given a yellow alert along with possibility of thunderstorm.
