Tuesday, May 4, 2021 The Green Forest Lady Tigers softball season came to an end with a 12-0 loss to Lincoln in the first round of the district tournament on Thursday, April 29. The loss prevented the Lady Tigers from advancing any further in postseason play but Green Forest still had its best season in several years, finishing with a 7-13 record. I think this is the most games that Green Forest has won in probably a decade, said Daniel Fitts, who completed his second season as the Tigers head coach. I still think we should have won double digits. Some of them got canceled, some games I thought we should win.

Tuesday, April 13, 2021 Marshall scored six runs over the final two innings and defeated the Green Forest Lady Tigers 11-7 in softball action on Tuesday, April 6. Green Forest had scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 7-5 lead but couldnt hold. Marshall took advantage of five errors by the Lady Tigers. Green Forest had 13 hits, led by three from Emma Taylor. Leah Evans and Whitney Andreski added two hits apiece for the Lady Tigers. Taylor drove in two runs and Andreski and Maddie Youngblood each scored twice for Green Forest. The Lady Tigers hosted Valley Springs on Monday and will be at home again on Thursday and Friday against Jasper and Omaha, respectively.
Tuesday, April 6, 2021 The Green Forest Lady Tigers came roaring back from spring break, sweeping a doubleheader from Bergman on Monday, March 29, by a combined score of 39-3. Green Forest won the opener 18-0, then took the second game 21-3. Theyre kind of down, so we like to take advantage of that, Green Forest coach Daniel Fitts said. The Lady Tigers had 10 hits in the first game, including three by Katie Underdown, who drove in four runs and scored two. Leah Evans also had three hits, with two runs batted in and a run scored. Maddie Youngblood had two hits, drove in three runs and scored four times. Emma Taylor had one hit, drove in two runs and also scored four runs. Gracie Youngblood went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
