Emergency services rush to crash on Leigh Road, Eastleigh. Photo sent in by reader. TWO people have been taken to hospital after a crash that partially closed a town centre road. Just before 4pm on Monday, firefighters and ambulance crews were called to a crash on Leigh Road, Eastleigh.  The road had been partially blocked in both directions between Passfield Avenue and Brookwood Avenue.  Fire crews from Eastleigh and Redbridge attended the incident and police were also on the scene. A warning of fire risk has been issued by the Met Office for the Isle of Wight and South of England. ISLANDERS are being asked not to light bonfires, barbecues or campfires due to a warning about how severe any potential wildfire could become in the current dry conditions.
