Halo Aviation will be the launch customer for 200 of Eve Air Mobility’s electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Deliveries are expected to start in 2026.
Eve – Embraer’s urban air mobility arm – will work with Halo to bring UAM services to the UK and US.
Under the terms of this agreement, Halo will work with Eve to develop a new eVTOL operation in both countries.
“We believe Eve has designed an aircraft that is well-prepared for not only initial certification but also has a proven track record of production,” said Kenn Ricci, principal of Directional Aviation.

As the spate of mergers, take-overs, IPOs and SPACs continues around the industry, this one has raised a few eyebrows. British operator Halo Aviation has been sold to Directional Aviation, a “private investment firm whose singular focus is private business aviation”. As Halo becomes the 15th member of the ever-increasing Directional family of companies, there’s no doubt that Kenn Ricci will have big plans for its future.
The eyebrow action concerns the facts that not only do Halo Aviation own no helicopters, they do not have their own AOC (Air Operations Certificate), and they are based on an airfield which is closing for residential re-development. We expect Directional will put these to rights, but there would have been other candidates for their dollars that have less serious short-term issues to resolve.

Fractional jet provider Flexjet has acquired UK-based helicopter operator Halo Aviation.
“My vision is to strategically position each of our flight providers to become a leader in its market,” said Kenn C. Ricci, founder of Flexjet’s parent company, Directional Aviation.
Flexjet offers global fractional ownership, Sentient Jet offers the jet card and FXAIR and PrivateFly provide on-demand charter. Ricci added:
“Now, with the acquisition of Halo and Associated Aircraft Group [AAG],
we can add another market to that list: Vertical lift.”
Directional acquired AAG and its fleet of executive Sikorsky helicopters in the United States earlier this year.
