The postman's van stuck in floodwater at Chaigeley School. All pictures by William Ansell. A POSTMAN was left stranded for hours after his van became stuck in floodwater while delivering to a school. The postie was making a delivery to Chaigeley School in Thelwall at around 10.30am today, Friday, when he got into difficulty. It is believed that the vehicle’s engine was flooded after he attempted to navigate what was described as a ‘lake’ which has formed at the Lymm Road site following recent wet weather.
