A man who died in a fatal rooming house fire in the city's east end is being remembered as a shelter worker who dedicated his life to helping people. On Tuesday, the director of housing support services at Dixon Hall spoke about the ways that William Cachia will be missed.
In an email to CBC Toronto Friday, Dixon Hall described William Cachia as an "anchor" at many of the organization's programs, which span housing, employment, youth and senior services.
A statement issued by Dixon Hall, a charitable Toronto social services organization, remembered William Cachia who died in the fire.
