The City of Cincinnati has filed a lawsuit against the owners of a neglected apartment building housing over 1,000 tenants after flooding, lack of heat and rodent infestations went unaddressed.
Mayor Aftab Pureval says the city takes the poor conditions and code violations it found at Williamsburg seriously and will come after other large investment companies that aren't treating residents right.

HARTWELL, Ohio (FOX19) - Ten people have been displaced after an apartment complex fire in Hartwell Tuesday morning.
The fire department said the fire took place inside the Williamsburg Apartment complex on Sugarball Lane around 10:30 a.m.
Crews arrived on scene and found the fire in a first-floor apartment, extending into apartments on the second floor.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 30 minutes.
10 residents displaced after fire in Hartwell
The Cincinnati Fire Department is investigating after an apartment building in Hartwell caught fire and left 10 people displaced.
Firefighters were called to the Williamsburg Apartment complex in the 800 block of Sugarball Lane in Hartwell. There were no fire alarms operating in the building at the time of the fire, according to fire officials.
Cincinnati Emergency Communications began receiving 911 calls about the fire at 10:30 a.m.
Firefighters from Ladder 2 in Carthage arrived at the scene and found fire in a first floor apartment that was extending to apartments on the second floor.
The fire was extinguished in 30 minutes. Several residents were assisted from the building, according to a press release. One resident was treated on scene for minor injuries.
