Police in Wilmington said they arrested an armed man Friday after an hours-long early morning pursuit that ensued after a vehicle fled a police stop.  Ron Jeremiah Bell, Jr., 24, of Tewksbury was arraigned in Woburn District Court Friday after his arrest earlier that day by Wilmington police officers, who said they found a firearm on Bell when he was apprehended.

The nor’easter that struck Massachusetts Monday into Tuesday dumped more than 18 inches of snow in several communities, forcing some schools to close and others to shift to remote learning while knocking out power for thousands of residents along the way. But the powerful storm was not felt equally by all. While many in towns to the north and west of Boston spent Tuesday morning digging out, people in parts of Greater Boston waded through slushy puddles and saw less than a half-foot of snow on their sidewalks.
