A TEACHING assistant had her hair chopped away by her children so that her Year 2 class can sponsor a dolphin. Alyson Duckmanton, a teaching assistant at Windmill Primary School in Headington, allowed her son and daughter to cut her hair, joking she would have to go to the hairdressers after they ‘made a right pig’s ear of it’. The teaching assistant said if donations hit the £1,000 mark, she will shave her hair off – something she said her children were keen to do. After raising £225 to date, pupils at Windmill Primary have said they will ‘get a tank to keep the dolphin in the class’ while one boy said he would go to Scotland to ride on the dolphin.
