General Motors executives are offering up a mea culpa after a Friday afternoon email to employees detailing a back-to-office plan was met with intense backlash.
(Reuters) - General Motors Co on Tuesday said it will not mandate workers return to offices before 2023 after it had told them on Friday that they would be expected to work three days on-campus each week later this year.
General Motors announced Sunday, beginning later this year, employees will be required to return to work in-person at least three days each work week.
A specific timeframe for when employees will begin working under the new model was not released.
