Why Lisbon is so popular as a remote work destination
With hybrid and home-working arrangements having become commonplace due to Covid-19, more and more people are questioning whether they might be better off living somewhere else - whether that’s escaping punitive big city rental markets or moving to another country altogether. Having just been named the best country in the world to be a remote worker in 2022 by the travel research website Momondo, Portugal is one such country which consciously capitalises on the trend towards location-independent ways of working, especially in its capital city of Lisbon.
