Featuring Maurice Ravel's Saint Louis jazz-inspired Violin Sonata, an exciting springtime work from Lili Boulanger, and Gabriel Fauré's compelling Piano Quartet No. 1, Op. 15, the performers will enchant and delight with music full of color, poetry, and charm.

Schoenfeld fuses traditional Klezmer folk and classical forms into a spirited work for trio. Sibelius connects to a beloved place. Montgomery reflects on solitude and Wiancko creates poetry for two.
Prokofiev vs. Oistrakh Experience the excitement of the legendary 1937 chess match between composer Sergei Prokofiev and violinist David Oistrakh with a performance by World Chess Hall of Fame Music Director Brian Woods and St. Louis Symphony violinist Hannah Ji! Featuring music popularized by Oistrakh, including Prokofiev's own Violin Sonata No. 2, the concert will celebrate the relationship between music and chess with fun and dramatic selections for piano and violin.
