Sheri Xiaonong Zhu, 62, was killed when a 'rogue wave' struck the Viking Polaris cruise ship on November 29, 2022 while it was sailing to the port of Ushuaia in southern Argentina, authorities said.
Numerous passengers onboard the ship said the impact of the wave was so violent they initially thought they had struck an iceberg. The woman killed was identified as American woman Sheri Zhu, 62.
