The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has listed Jabal Ikmah in AlUla in its Memory of the World Register, 15 years after Al-Hijr (Mada’in Salih) archeological site, also in AlUla governorate, became Saudi Arabia’s first World Heritage Site to be inscribed in 2008.
