As the temperature drops, Rockhampton Regional Council has confirmed Gracemere and Mount Morgan pools will be closed for the winter from this Saturday 1 May.
The 42
nd Battalion pool in North Rockhampton will close a little later, on Monday 17 May.
Councillor for Parks, Sports and Public Spaces Cherie Rutherford said the 2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre would remain open throughout the winter.
“I can’t quite believe it’s that time of year again but here we are!
“Now the temperatures are dropping we will be closing the non-heated pools, as the water is becoming a little too chilly for most to enjoy. ....
