The downgrade were happening there were stories that the white house was talking to standard & poor s and that they were leaning, the white house was leaning on s&p not to do the downgrade. so then you get this leak from the d.o.j. over the last 24 hours that oh, now, we re investigating s&p over the mortgage backed securities. of course, there should be an investigation. they were wrong about that. they were wrong about enron. they were wrong about worldcom. we need an investigation. but this thing looks like now s&p reacted against the white house, did the downgrade anyway. so now the administration looks like they re lashing out. eric: i agree with dana here. i think the investigation probably was open in 2007 or 2008. they may have stepped it up a little bit. but hey, you know what the s&p should have downgraded america anyway. bob, initial jobless claims 400,000. people still aren t working. is obama stone deaf for taking ten days right now in the vineyard? bob: let me guess. ....
