The U.S. Justice Department announced Monday it will close an investigation, reopened in 2017, into the death of Emmett Till, who was tortured and killed after a white woman accused him of sexual advances in 1955. No one has been found guilty of his murder.
The announcement came after the head of the Justice Department's civil rights division and other officials met with several of Till's relatives.

The 14-year-old’s family members said they were disappointed there will continue to be no accountability for the infamous killing.
