New house prices in China's 70 cities in August: 50 cities fell month-on-month, second- and third-tier cities all fell
Yan Yuejin, research director of the Think Tank Center of E-House Research Institute, pointed out that in August, the price index of new commercial housing in 70 cities in China fell by an average of 0.3% month-on-month and 2.1% year-on-year, and the decline was wider than the previous month. Zhang Bo, director of the 58 Anju Room Real Estate Research Institute, also believes that the property markets in first-tier cities, especially Beijing and Shanghai, were still active in August, and both first- and second-hand housing prices showed a synchronous upward trend.
