Wyze announces Buds Pro with ANC, then teases an even cheaper set Wyze has made a name for itself by selling dirt-cheap stuff that works surprisingly well, notably security cameras, lightbulbs, and other smarthome gadgets. It's recently expanded into more mobile-adjacent tech, including a full-sized set of noise-canceling headphones. The next logical step for the company is in the exploding segment of true wireless earbuds, and so here we are: the Wyze Buds Pro. At $60, the Wyze Buds Pro don't seem to be the shocking bargain that Wyze's other gadgets are (especially since that doesn't include shipping, yet). After all, you can find $30 earbuds at almost any electronics shop, or indeed, a department or drug store. But Wyze is betting that the inclusion of active noise cancellation, still not a standard feature beneath the $100 level, will make up the difference. The manufacturer claims that it can negate up to forty decibels of outside noise, including wind, with three microphones on each bud.

Priced at only $60 in the US, they’re called the Wyze Buds Pro. Wyze is a maker of extremely affordable smart bulbs, smartwatches, and video doorbells. Now, it's making ANC earbuds with wireless charging capabilities. Other features of the new earbuds include sweat resistance, a transparency mode, and wind noise reduction. Wyze Buds Pro also have built-in Alexa. For reference, Anker's $99 SoundCore Liberty Air 2 Pro come with ANC, as do Amazon's second-generation Echo Buds, which cost over $100+ price range. Amazon also charges an additional $20 for a wireless charging case for the Echo Buds, whereas Wyze includes them. Add it all up, and Wyze Buds Pro are a true bargain for audiophiles looking for affordable earbuds. Heck, you could buy four sets of them for the price of Apple's AirPods Pro.
The Wyze Buds Pro will boast onboard Alexa, but the feature will work better for Android users. Wyze says those with Android 6.0-or-better devices will get “full access” to Alexa, while iPhone users will need to have the Alexa app running in the background to chat with the voice assistant. The Buds Pro support Bluetooth 5.0 along with the AAC and default SBC Bluetooth audio codecs, but no lossless codecs such as Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive or Sony’s LDAC. Wyze says we can expect up to 4.5 hours of battery life from the Buds Pro with noise cancelling on and up to six hours with ANC off, while the wireless charger tacks on up to 18 additional hours (or 13.5 hours with noise cancelling enabled).
