Wasteland 3 DLC The Battle of Steeltown Announced
The Battle of
Steeltown narrative expansion releases. Announced by inXile Entertainment and Deep Silver, the expansion will center around a worker rebellion. As a result, manufacturing in Steeltown has ceased, and the Rangers have been sent in to investigate. There will be choices that players will have to make during the new campaign, and those choices will have an impact on the story. Players will be able to enjoy the game's first narrative expansion in single-player, or in co-op. The expansion will also add several new elements, including weapons, armor, and enemies.
Steeltown is a new factory complex that players will be able to navigate in the expansion. The factory provides the guns, armor, and vehicles the Patriarch needs to maintain control over Colorado. If allowed to continue, the shutdown could have a massive impact on the war effort, but players will have to decide for themselves whether or not that's a good thing.

Xbox Game Pass Adds New Games, But Loses Even More

Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate have added new games, but they've lost even more games. On PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, subscribers have new games to play or, more specifically, two new games to play. However, subscribers can no longer play three different games as they've been removed from the library. And like always, there's no word how long any of these games have been added for or if any of the recently-removed games will be added back in the future.
As of yesterday, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can no longer play the following three games:

It all kicks off on April 23rd, and as of right now, there’s one way to get guaranteed access to the beta.
As you might’ve expected if you’ve taken part in other games’ betas in the past, the surefire way to get into the one for

Minecraft Delays Some Caves & Cliffs Content

Minecraft’s Caves & Cliffs content is the next big release players have been looking forward to, but not all of it will be releasing on schedule. Mojang announced this week that it intends to split the content into two different updates, one of which will come during the summer while the other will release sometime during the holidays. This has effectively delayed some of the Caves & Cliffs content with the Mojang team saying the new schedule is necessary to avoid compromising on the quality of the updates.
The announcement about the Caves & Cliffs content came on Wednesday with a post on the

Apple has created a lot of waves by announcing that as of June 7th, the days of the unlimited data plans for iPhones and iPads are over. Under their old plan, a $30 charge brought you all the Youtube Clips, movie streams, and downloads your device could handle. The new plans shake down as you see below:
If you go over on the 200mb plan, you are charged $15 for another 200mb. For the Data Pro plan, overages cost $10 per GB you use.
However, this isn't the only thing with Apple device users up in arms. The new tethering option that iPhone and IPad users were looking forward to is getting a change. Before, tethering cost $30 a month for 5GB of extra tethering data on top of your regular data usage. Now, tethering is only $20, but counts against your 2GB of usage.

Phil Spencer's shelf has become a bit of a talking point over the past week. First, we heard how Hideo Kojima
might be doing something exclusively with Microsoft, and now, the latest focus is the Switch on the top run. We've already noted how Jeff Grubb said "pretty much everything" is a reference to something or other, and Shpeshal Ed - the co-founder of XboxEra, has now suggested the cat is out of the bag.
So, what's going on? Is the Nintendo Switch getting Xbox Game Pass? Is Master Chief from the Halo series coming to

While not as difficult to purchase as the PlayStation 5 the Xbox Series X remains frustratingly hard to get for gamers.
Microsoft's next-gen console has proved a major success since launching in November and sporadic restocks coupled with roaring demand has made it difficult to come by.
At the time of writing, the Xbox Series X remains sold out at most major U.S. retailers, with the exception of Newegg, which also has the Xbox Series S available.

COMPUTEX Taipei 2010 - Last week we visited ASRock who gave us an exclusive look at some of its new technologies including the Vision 3D HTPC and AIWI, but one thing we didn't have time to check out when we went to their office was an interesting new feature that will be bundled for free in ASRock's new P55 Extreme3 motherboard package.
ASRock has developed a simple yet smart little device that allows users to easily add two USB 3.0 ports to the front of their case. The device is really just a small bracket that fits into a spare FDD-sized opening at the front of your case and then a cable from the bracket runs to one of the USB 3.0 pin connectors on supported ASRock motherboards.

MLB 'forces' Sony's San Diego Studio to release MLB: The Show 2021 on Xbox

Microsoft responds by immediately slating it as a Game Pass freebie
on April 12, 2021, 12:39
SMH: When it comes to video games, exclusivity deals come and go, but I don't recall seeing fans getting this worked up over one. A little over a year ago, MLB: The Show fans learned the PlayStation-exclusive game would release on other consoles. Nobody batted an eye. But now Microsoft announces the game will launch on Game Pass from day one, and the world as we know it is over.
Baseball game MLB: The Show has been a first-party exclusive franchise for Sony's PlayStation consoles since 2006 when it first launched on the PS2. Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that The Show 21 is coming to Xbox on April 20, just one day after it hits PlayStation consoles, and the internet went nuts. Fans of the game werevocallyoutraged at the sharing of this long-time PlayStation exclusive.

COMPUTEX Taipei 2010 - AMD has being pushing the whole Eyefinity multi-monitor gaming thing for a good while now and despite some minor connectivity issues, it has been accepted with generally lots of excitement in the industry.
First up AMD launched Eyefinity with three monitor support, but now the latest video cards are able to support up to six monitors - and 12 in the case of a solution from PowerColor. We walked by the AMD booth today and then of just walking past it like most booths, I stopped and was really impressed with the dual Eyefinity6 setup that the folks over at AMD prepared for the show. AMD had its booth setup in a way so that folks could sit down and watch people race each other on the 'big screen' in Dirt 2. Super cool.

Code defect behind Easter outage for Azure

Recovery time from overloading exceeded service goals.
Microsoft has published a root cause analysis of an outage of its Azure Domain Name System that struck the cloud platform over Easter, causing intermittent failures for customers accessing and managing their Microsoft services globally.
The problems started at around 8.30 am on April 2, when the Azure DNS servers received an anomalous surge in queries for an unspecified set of domains hosted on Microsoft's cloud.
Microsoft said it was ready for such surges, with layers of caches and traffic shaping to mitigate the effect, but a bug in its DNS service made the overloading worse.
