Moto G 5G price drops in Flipkart Big Saving Days sale

Updated: January 15, 2021 5:42 PM IST
Motorola launched the Moto G 5G last month as a performance-oriented and slightly premium offering in the rather-ignored sub-Rs 25,000 “affordable midrange” segment. At the time, the phone launched for Rs 20,999 and we praised it for the value it offers. With the Xiaomi Mi 10i now in the same league, it only makes for an interesting choice in this segment. However, Motorola goes a step ahead for the upcoming Flipkart sale by dropping the price on the Moto G 5G by Rs 2,000. With a Snapdragon 750G chip and a 120Hz display, the Mi 10i is another great option for mobile gamers. The presence of MIUI 12 and a solid 108-megapixel main camera makes for a solid daily driver.

Almost a month ago, I got my hands on the Motorola Moto G 5G and it left me fairly impressed. With a stock Android experience coupled to the Snapdragon 750G chip and a big 5000mAh battery, I found it to be a combination that’s simply unbeatable at Rs 21,000. However, the Moto G 5G is built to a price and those looking for an all-rounder will be unhappy with its design, quality, and certain other bits. Then came the Mi 10i from Xiaomi’s stables. This phone has been launched as the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in China. The 'i' in the naming is a nod to Indian audiences, according to Xiaomi. And no, unlike what
