One person was killed by falling rocks, said Zhang Shiwei, Party chief of Yangbi. Three people were injured by falling tiles, and four were buried in a road collapse, among whom three have been rescued, Xinhua reported. The magnitude-6.4 quake hit with a depth of 8 kilometres at 9:48 pm, followed by another magnitude-5.0 quake with the same depth at 21:55 pm (local time), Chinese state media reported. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the epicenter and seven trapped local residents have been rescued, the ministry reported.
