The Nigerian Army has confirmed the killing of six Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during a shoot-out in Fulatari and Kago villages in the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The army disclosed this on Thursday on its X account, adding that 48 people who were held as hostages by the terrorists were also rescued during the clash. The rescued hostages comprise one adult male, 20 adult females, and 27 children.
