CHRISTMAS spirit is high in Roose after a shop decided to donate drinks and snacks for a coach trip to the Manchester markets.

Kristel Kemp, 41, has been baking non-stop as part of her 'Cakes Against Cancer' project. The Barrow mum has made, sold and delivered hundreds of cupcakes and traybake slices, as well as savoury treats such as sausage rolls and picnic packs to raise money. She has already raised over £1,000 for Rosemere Cancer Centre, south Cumbria and Lancashire’s specialist cancer treatment and radiotherapy centre at the Royal Preston Hospital.
