Abstract The current study investigated the effect of geogrid reinforcement on the fatigue behavior of concrete beam specimens in terms of the development of strains at the compressive zone. The concrete beam specimens having the dimensions of 150 mm × 150 mm × 550 mm were either unreinforced, reinforced with one layer of triaxial geogrid or reinforced with two layers of triaxial geogrid.
