PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM): - Everything you need to know about the COVID-19 Vaccine will be brought to you by several public health experts during a panel discussion on Thursday evening at 7.00 PM.
The session will be available via a Facebook Livestream organized by the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development & Labour (Ministry VSA), Collective Prevention Services (CPS).
The Facebook Livestream panel discussion will be opened by Minister of VSA Richard Panneflek. The Livestream will be hosted by Roylyka Roache from the Department of Communication (DCOMM).
Speakers for the evening will include Eva Lista-de Weever, Epidemiologist, and head of CPS; Bregje Boetekees, Manager of Operations of the White & Yellow Cross Care Foundation (WYCCF); Dr. Anand Raghosing who is a general practitioner on the island; and Dr. A.J. St. Martin News Network - CPS continues to hold stakeholder information sessions about COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

PHILIPSBURG(DCOMM): -The Ministry of Public Health, Social Development & Labour (Ministry VSA) Collective Prevention Services (CPS) continued with its stakeholders COVID-19 Vaccine awareness campaign on Wednesday evening where two virtual presentations were given to the faith-based organizations and the Indian Merchants Association (IMA). On Thursday evening, sessions were held with the Community Councils and the Senior Citizen Organization.
Incredibly good and important questions were brought forward from the community leaders. At the end of all meetings, the role of the community leaders was discussed, as they play a vital role in stopping the spread of misinformation within their respective communities. The CPS looks back at five very constructive and engaging meetings and for the support coming from the communities. ....

St. Martin News Network - WYCCF informs about Covid-19 Vaccine.

PHILIPSBURG: - The White and Yellow Cross Care Foundation (WYCCF), even though Covid-free at the moment, is still at risk of infections of the Covid-19 virus. The clients of the WYCCF are amongst the highest risk groups. So, considering that for this group an infection could be lethal, the Covid-19 prevention protocol is followed very strictly. Rapid testing of clients and staff is done frequently and with all new admissions. Even though this is going very well, and there haven t been any cases since November, this is not a long-term solution to this pandemic. Also, because the social interaction of our clients has been severely impacted with no visitors in our buildings and no family outings and events. We see daily how this affects the quality of life of our clients. The WYCCF is therefore looking forward to receiving Covid-19 vaccines, that the Netherlands is planning to share with Sint Maarten.
