April marks Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month, a cause locally led by many organizations. Virginia’s House, in Young County, and Dr. Goodall’s House, in Stephens County, work each April to raise awareness in the community. The two organizations meet the needs of abused, neglected and traumatized children through programs of prevention, advocacy and support.
The Texas Rangers were investigating two deaths last week in Young County, the Department of Public Safety said in a statement. The Rangers and Olney Police were investigating the death of an 8-month-old infant who died at the Over Yonder RV Park in Olney.
