Back in ‘94, Nintendo released the Super Game Boy, a cartridge adaptor that made Game Boy games playable on a TV through the SNES. Hyperkin’s new Retron Sq does the exact same thing, but as a standalone console that offers modern HDMI connectivity. Its simplicity makes it easy for anyone to use, but it also holds the console back from being a truly great gaming accessory.
