DeKalb FFA team performs well in forestry competition
WATERLOO â The DeKalb FFA Chapter competed in the 2021 Practical Forestry competition on April 24. Practical Forestry puts many different skills to the test. During the competition, the members must take an exam, understand timber cruising and TSI, memorize tree and equipment identification and know map interpretation. DeKalb entered two junior teams and three senior teams in the competition. Senior teams placed second, fourth and seventh. Junior teams placed first and third.
