Former Law Society barrister Jonathan Temm dies aged 58

Leading criminal lawyer and former Law Society president Jonathan Temm QC has died at the age of 58.
The Rotorua barrister worked on a number of high profile cases, including the Nia Glassie murder trial.
In a statement, Law Society president Tiana Epati said "we have lost a leader, a great advocate and a good kind man".
"Jonathan was incredibly generous with his time and always willing to help his fellow lawyers. When I took on the role as president, he was one of the first people who reached out and made sure I knew I could contact him at any time if I needed to talk about the pressures of the role."

Top trial lawyer and ex-Law Society President Jonathan Temm dies

Lawyer Jonathan Temm QC, who took part in some of the nation’s most high profile trials in recent years, including the Nia Glassie murder trial and the 2016 'stop-go' murder trial of Quinton Winders, has died.
In a statement, the Law Society said it was with heavy hearts they learned of Temm's passing on Wednesday March 3, describing the Former Law Society president and Rotorua lawyer as a courageous, passionate man who dedicated much of his life to leadership roles at both local and national levels across the profession.
