BRASILIA, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's government on Monday unveiled a series of incentives to spur the production and sustainable use of biomethane, a fuel that can be obtained from recycling urban and rural waste, and that can replace natural gas, diesel and gasoline.

KAIZNFORM - The Brazilian government is expected in 30 days to launch the program Metano Zero («Zero Methane»), aimed at stimulating the transformation of the greenhouse emission gas into biofuel with the financial support of state-run banks. The announcement was made during an interview with the country’s Environment Minister Joaquim Leite on Rádio Nacional. The interview was also broadcast live on TV Brasil, Agencia Brasil reports.
