Bengaluru witnesses shadow tricks on Wednesday during a unique celestial event related to Zero shadow days, Earth's axial tilt, noon's Sun rays at zen

Every year, for every point on Earth between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn, there are two Zero Shadow Days.

The Indian city of Bengaluru is preparing for Zero Shadow Day, which will occur there on 18 August 2023. The event, which happens twice a year, arises because of Earths 23.5-degree tilt from the plan of its orbit. This means the sun never sits directly overhead but has a slightly lower altitude to the north or south. Zero Shadow Day occurs only in areas situated between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. During the phenomenon, stationary objects such as people will cast no shadows on the ground.
