鱼道建了，还要确保鱼儿“应过尽过”。为帮助少数“迷路”的鱼儿找到正确的路，朱世洪团队在平行于大坝方向的集鱼补水渠内动起了脑筋。
朱世洪介绍，如果集鱼渠比较宽大，补水口垂直于渠体，就会造成仅在出水口有很小流速，而渠内大部分水流没有形成特别流场，引导鱼儿进入作用不大。反复试验论证，团队创新提出，将补水口向鱼儿游动方向倾斜，通过控制补水流速带动渠内整体流速，形成鱼儿喜欢的流场。
此举大大拓展了集鱼范围，增强集鱼效果，还收获了一项国家专利。
金沙水电站水头高20多米，如何在满足鱼儿洄游条件的前提下，尽可能将鱼道设计得更短？
同时，在鱼道内每隔3.5米安装一道竖缝效能隔板，380多道竖缝效能隔板，仿造自然河道流态。“鱼道进口和出口接近1比1的过鱼量，验证了设计的科学性。”朱世洪说，鱼儿过坝的成功率大大提升。
提档升级，为洄游鱼配“医院”“产房”
原来，圆口铜鱼俗名肥坨，是生活在长江的珍稀鱼类，通常很少见到。
2015年，在水电站设计方案中，增加了增殖放流和产卵场规划。
2017年，金沙水电站截流，上述增殖放流站便承担起金沙水电站的放流任务，每年培育放流近20万尾鱼苗。
人工介入只是辅助洄游鱼繁殖，更多的鱼洄游后仍是自然繁衍。于是，鄢双红团队在鱼道投运后，开始为鱼儿寻找合适的“产房”。
下一步，他们将通过人工湿地等，进一步净化水质，给鱼儿打造一个舒适的“产房”。
