Human trafficking survivor shares how night out with friends turned into a nightmare

A Nova Scotia woman wants people to know the nightmare she endured five years ago can happen to anyone.
In 2016, during a trip to Montreal with her friends, Clancy McDaniel said she was drugged and abducted by men she later learned were involved in organized crime and known to police. She was 19 and in her first year at St. FX University in Antigonish, N.S.
I could have very easily been in forced prostitution, I had no choice over that, McDaniel told CBC Radio s ....

Nova Scotia reports 1 new COVID-19 case Friday

The change was announced as the province reported one new case of COVID-19, bringing the total number of known active cases to nine.
The new case was identified in the eastern zone and is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada. The person has been self-isolating, as required.
Earlier in the week, the government announced that sports teams could start playing games, but with restricted travel and no spectators. Arts and theatre performances can also take place without an audience.

NS Reports 12 New Cases of COVID-19 » The Coast 89.7 FM

The province is reporting 12 new cases of COVID-19 today.
One of those cases is in the Eastern Zone and involves a student at St. FX University in Antigonish who travelled outside of Atlantic Canada.
Two of the new cases are in the Western Zone with one involving travel outside the Atlantic region and the other being a close contact of a previously reported case.
Nine of the cases are in the Central Zone.
Health officials say seven of those cases are close contacts of earlier reported cases, one is connected to travel outside the region and the other is under investigation. ....
