Udupi, Dec 27: The newly-built presbytery of Christ Church, Manipal was inaugurated on Sunday December 27 by Dr Gerald Issac Lobo, the bishop of the diocese.
In his address, the bishop announced, This should not only be a place of dwelling for priests, but also be a home of service. It is a dream come true for the parish inaugurated on Family Day. Pope Francis invited us to celebrate Family Day all over the world. Without the help of the parishioners, it would not be possible. The church provides all the spiritual needs of the people. It is a home for the parish which serves the people. A building becomes a home when people living in it. ....
