New Conseil scolaire acadien provincial School on Halifax Peninsula

The province will provide the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) and its students and staff with a new, modern pre-primary to Grade 8 school on the peninsula.
Today, April 9, Derek Mombourquette, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, and Lena Metlege Diab, Minister of Acadian Affairs and Francophonie, announced the new school which will help Halifax’s growing CSAP community with a new facility.
“The province continues to support Nova Scotia’s Acadian and francophone communities with new, modern facilities to enhance learning for students,” said Mr. Mombourquette. “By recently purchasing École secondaire Mosaïque and by building a new school on the peninsula, the province is ensuring that francophone students and staff can experience the best public-school education possible.” ....

Iain Rankin is officially the province’s new premier.
Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc conducted the swearing-in ceremony in Halifax Tuesday morning.
Rankin is the 29th premier of the province; his cabinet, which has 16 ministers, is a mix of new and old faces.
It includes the two other candidates he beat for the provincial Liberal leadership Feb. 6- Randy Delorey is the province’s new justice minister and the minister of labour relations, while Labi Kousoulis becomes finance minister.
Other familiar faces include Kelly Regan as deputy premier, Zach Churchill as health and wellness minister, which includes the new office of mental health and addictions, and Lloyd Hines, the former transportation minister whose portfolio becomes transportation and active transit. ....
