FIFTEEN persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in Cagayan de Oro City Jail have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, City Health Office Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported Tuesday, December 15.
The 15 inmates were among the 24 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in the city.
According to Retuya, all of the new coronavirus-positive inmates are asymptomatic and has no comorbidities. They were transferred from their detention cells in various police stations in the city to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) male holding area on December 4.
All of them were swabbed on December 12 and the result came out positive on December 14. ....
