During a year that was overtaken by a pandemic, many kids didn’t get the chance to see Santa Claus, sit on his lap and share wishes with him.
To provide a merry good-morning to kids who were missing Kris Kringle, the jolly old elf, looking a bit like Carroll Area Child Care Center & Preschool’s cook Sarah Carstens, climbed atop the center’s roof two days before Christmas to greet students as they were dropped off.
Santa was joined by a helper elf who had a resemblance to Anna Schultes, a teacher assistant with the center.
For more than an hour while kids were dropped off, Santa and the elf waved to kids, called them by name and reminded them to stay on Santa’s good list. ....
