Lycoming County man charged with mistreating more than two dozen dogs

MUNCY – A Lycoming County man has been accused of failing to properly care for more than two dozen dogs of various breeds including a pregnant dachshund.
Daniel L. Stoltzfus is charged by Lycoming County SPCA human Officer Betsey Sparling with aggravated cruelty, cruelty and neglect of animals.
He is free on $35,000 unsecured bail and is cooperating in an ongoing investigation, she said Thursday. Bail terms include a prohibition on owning or possessing dogs.
Stoltzfus on Feb. 13 signed over to the SPCA 28 dogs of various breeds and to an individual a female red dachshund and one of her puppies, Sparling said. ....
