NEW DELHI, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) Experts probing into the mysterious disease that broke out in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh have found pesticide residue as the reason behind it, officials said Thursday.
The experts brought in from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and other top research institutes to ascertain the reasons for the mystery illness in the Eluru city of West Godavari district have found traces of nickel in the milk samples collected from the area.
Last week a person was killed and over 600 people in the city were taken ill because of the disease. Patients admitted in the hospital because of the mystery illness complained of nausea, seizures and fainting. ....

Scientists of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have revealed that lead was noticed in milk samples collected in Eluru town and its neighbouring villages in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh.
With the outbreak of the undiagnosed illness in Eluru and the adjoining areas on December 4, experts and doctors from various organisations rushed to the district and collected food, water, milk, blood and other samples. ....
