June 2, 2021 Rokiah Mahmud The Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) presented the Palestine Humanitarian Fund 2021 amounting to BND67,250 from 838 donors to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) yesterday. Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin received the donation from MKM President Mohd Yusof bin Shaik Abdul Halim. Permanent Secretary (Community and Culture) at the MCYS Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Cultural) at the MCYS Dr Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah were also present. The Palestine Humanitarian Fund 2021 was launched on May 26 and will continue until August 23. May 27, 2021 James Kon His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the establishment of the Palestine Humanitarian Fund 2021 from May 26 to August 23, following an agreement between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA). The establishment of the humanitarian fund will allow the public to make monetary contributions in a direct and transparent manner, while also enabling various parties to organise charity and welfare activities for the victims in Palestine. ....
