The Union Ministry of Road Transportation and Highways has made the Radio Frequency Identification tag, which facilitates electronic payment of fees at toll plazas, mandatory from Monday midnight, and vehicles without FASTag will have to pay double charges at the toll plaza. So, if you are passing through a National Highway, you will need a FASTag for your vehicle.
A FASTag is a sticker that is attached to the windshield of your car and has an imprinted Radio-frequency Identification (RFID) barcode which is linked with the registration details of your vehicle. As you drive through any toll plaza on any national highway in India, FASTag readers will read the code and will deduct the amount required to pass the barrier.  ....
