Diners eat lunch at tables set up behind Providence Ministries. The organization serves three meals a day, 365 days a year. But because of COVID-19, it no longer allows diners into its building, which hosts a men s shelter and drug and alcohol recovery programs.
Winter hasn t officially started, but Dalton s Greater Works founder Robert Hill has already opened the organization s day center at 1001 S. Thornton Ave. as a warming center for the homeless one night.
