The parliamentary caucus of the United Democratic Party has issued a release on the proposed Tenth and Eleventh Amendments, following a meeting of the Constitution and Foreign Affairs Committee on Monday. Leader of the Opposition Shyne Barrow, who sits on the committee, reported to his colleagues in the House of Representatives and Senate that the meeting held on July nineteenth was productive. He reported that Minister Francis Fonseca he supports the House Committee’s consideration of taking a structural approach to both proposed pieces of legislation, consistent with the social partner senators. This would also be in line with former Constitutional Reform Commission Chair Dylan Vernon, the Chamber of Commerce and other stakeholders.
