TAKHTBHAI/ BATKHELA/BANNU: The government employees on Thursday condemned the police action against peaceful employees in Islamabad and demanded the incumbent rulers to honour their promises made with the public sector servants in the country. The protesters also blocked roads and suspended traffic in various cities to press the government for acceptance of their demands.
In Takhtbhai, the members of lecturers, professors and clerical staff associations of the Government Degree College staged a protest and blocked the Takhtbhai-Charsadda road.
The protesters, including Hayat Shah, Masood Shah, Miraj Muhammad, Daulat Khan and others, asked the government to fulfil their genuine and legal demands and release the arrested employees, who were staging a peaceful protest for their rights in Islamabad. ....

PCS/PMS officers condemn use of force against protesting employees

PESHAWAR/BANNU: The PCS/PMS Officers Association KP has taken serious notice of the issue of manhandling and use of violence against the employees belonging to various federal and provincial departments who were peacefully protesting for their due rights in Islamabad.
A press release on Wednesday said the federal and provincial governments are requested to refrain from such tactics which multiply the problems of governance instead of resolving the same.
The employees need to be engaged in a meaningful dialogue and their legitimate demands including increase in salaries keeping in view the high rate of inflation, devaluation of rupee and resultant decrease in real terms of the pays and pensions, besides other management matters, be fulfied. ....
