GMC&AHs Jammu facing acute shortage of faculty, Gazetted/N-G staff

JAMMU, Apr 1: Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals (GMC&AHs) Jammu have been facing acute shortage of faculty members as well as gazetted and non-gazetted staff including paramedics, nurses, technicians and Class IV staff.
Official sources told Excelsior that GMC&AHs Jammu which cater to the whole population of Jammu region have been working with only 70% faculty while 30 percent of the sanctioned posts are lying vacant. They said what is more surprising is that these 70 % faculty members have been managing 1100 beds in GMC Jammu against the notified bed capacity of 900. ....
