Dominican Rep. to manufacture laptops and tablets for education
Santo Domingo, Mar 10 (Prensa Latina) Dominican Republic and Encore Repair Service Company, based at the Cybernetic Park, signed on Thursday a memorandum for laptop and tablet manufactures for national education.
Upon speaking at the official ceremony held at the National Palace, President Luis Abinader claimed that the document signing seeks to finish off the existing digital divide across the country and allow greater access to technology for young Dominicans. The president classified the memorandum signing as something extraordinary, since free-zone industries take a higher level and will enable good competition to exist in terms of prices and quality, he said. ....
